Original 1989 Autosleeper conversion. It is in fantastic condition for the age of the vehicle with just a few surface rust spots on the exterior.

I have owned this van for about 8 years and it will break my heart when it goes but I have a genuine reason for sale and I’m keen to see this go to a good home.
It is 4 berth with a 1.9l DG engine with around 150K on the clock (probably actually an over estimation). The odometer stopped working at around 145K, which is a common fault on these vans. I have tried to fix it a couple of times but unsuccessfully.
The rear seats are fitted with two lap belts.
There is a gas hob and grill, a 3-way fridge, a leisure battery, water pump for the taps and propane heater, all of which are in working order. I have only used the EHU once but I can confirm that it works. There is a pull-out Omnistor awning (guy ropes included) that I have only used once or twice. The front passenger seat swivels.
There is a red switch in the middle of the dash to turn off the radio when not in use because it is on a live feed that could drain the main battery when parked up.
There is masses of storage space including a huge cupboard above the driver’s cab and I tend to also use the high top for storage.
When I first got it, the water pump was replaced and later, the dizzy and fuel pump were also replaced. I had the step, sills and sliding door rail repaired and painted. I have tried to keep on top of any larger areas of rust. The previous keepers had one of the side panels repaired and resprayed when it was damaged by another vehicle outside their house.
Mechanically this van has never let me down. It has had a couple of coughs and splutters. Once when there was dirt in the carb and a clean out with an airline sorted it and once when water was getting into the petrol. I never found the source of this so could just have been condensation in the tank. The fuel system was gone through with a fine-toothed comb and it has never missed a beat since.
It could probably do with a new alternator belt. I do have a spare, which is included in the sale. Also included is a spare set of wing mirrors, which I have never got round to fitting, and the original curtains, which will need dry cleaning if they’re to be used.
Cons: the odometer as mentioned. The water filler cap needs replacing and there may be rust under the current one but it’s too brittle to remove to investigate without getting a replacement. The tap is missing off the waste-water tank. The wing mirrors do that swingy in thing at anything over 70mph. There is slight wear to the upholstery on one of the cushions (see photos).
